TEQUILA TASTING

Tequila tasting consists of carrying out a sensory examination through which the unique organoleptic characteristics of the drink can be appreciated, which come mainly from the raw material: the Agave.

A Tequila tasting allows you to discover the qualities of each of the categories and classes , making use of the senses in 3 stages:

• Visual: body, colors and nuances are analyzed.
• Olfactory: how the aromas are perceived.
• Taste: the flavors are reaffirmed on the palate.

SILVER (BLANCO O PLATA)

Visual: crystalline, with some exceptions, they present silver nuances.
Olfactory: herbal, citrus, agave, fresh fruit and flowers.
Taste: the promise generated by the aromas is confirmed.

AGED (REPOSADO)

Visual: straw yellow coloration with different intensities and the nuances or glosses are golden.
Olfactory: agavaceous, more mature fruit, wood and spices.
Taste: the promise generated by the aromas is confirmed.

EXTRA AGED (AÑEJO)

Visual: amber coloration with different intensities and shades or glosses, coppery.
Olfactory: dried fruit, wood, honey, vanilla, olive and spices.
Taste: the promise generated by the aromas is confirmed.

PAIRING

It is the tasting of Tequila with food, it refers to the appreciation of the flavors that different dishes offer when combined with the types of Tequila.

MARGARITA

Ingredients

  • A quarter of Cointreau
  • A quarter of lemon juice
  • Tequila
  • Ice
  • Salt
  • Sugar

Preparation
In a cocktail shaker add the ingredients and mix, serve in a cocktail glass frosted with salt and lemon.

SUNRISE

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce of Tequila
  • 1 ounce of orange juice
  • 1/2 ounce Triple Sec.
  • 1 splash of grenadine or cherry concentrate
  • Ice

Preparation
They are served in a tall glass, the ingredients must be mixed in order to achieve a color gradient. Decorate with orange segments and half a cherry.

MACHO

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Tequila
  • A pinch of salt
  • A hit of Maggi juice
  • Serrano Chili

Preparation
Add all the ingredients in a brandy glass.

TEQUILIBRIO

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce of Tequila
  • ½ ounce plain syrup
  • ½ ounce of lemon juice
  • Orange juice
  • Grapefruit soda
  • Chopped pineapple
  • Crushed ice

Preparation
Blend all the ingredients and put the drink in a highball glass frosted with lemon and salt.

STRAWBERRY MARGARITA

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Tequila
  • ½ ounce Controy
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • 1 ounce of Grenadine
  • Choppedstrawberries
  • Crushed ice

Preparation
Blend all the ingredients and put them in a glass frosted with lemon and salt.

TIJUANA

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Tequila
  • ½ ounce Galiano liqueur
  • ½ ounce grenadine
  • ½ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce pineapple juice
  • ½ ounce orange juice

Preparation
In a cocktail shaker add the ingredients and mix well, serve in a cocktail glass, decorating with a cherry.

LA TEQUILA

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce Tequila
  • ½ ounce Grand Marnier
  • ½ ounce Control
  • Red Vermouth

Preparation
In a cocktail shaker add the ingredients and mix well, serve in a cocktail glass.

COCKROACH

Ingredients

  • 1 ounce of Tequila
  • 1 ounce of coffee liqueur

Preparation
We add everything in a brandy glass and flambé.
